Mullite

Mullite is an aluminosilicate ceramic with good stability at high temperatures. This material is widely used in the steel and glass industries in the form of refractory bricks and blocks. It is also used as a lower-cost alternative to alumina, with slightly lower thermal shock resistance properties.

In addition to being used in furnace accessories, the material can be extruded into tubes and pressed to create technical components.
