Anchors
Initially, it is welded to the casing, and the required fiber layers are introduced, anchoring each with an intermediate washer. Finally, a locking washer is inserted through the anchor, compressing the last layer, and is rotated a quarter turn. They provide mechanical support, preventing the refractory material from moving or loosening due to temperature changes, thermal expansion and/or vibrations. They are generally made of stainless steel or special ones that resist corrosion and heat, and their design varies depending on the application and the type of refractory coating that requires strength (tiles, concrete, ceramic fiber, etc.).
