Steatite

Steatite is often used as an electrical insulator in electrical components due to its durability and electrical characteristics, as well as its ability to be pressed into complex shapes before firing. It withstands continuous temperatures of up to 1000°C. Its dielectric and thermal insulation properties stand out. Steatite ceramics are widely used in insulation for the electrical and electronics industries. It is a lower-cost material compared to alumina but offers excellent electrical resistance (which can be maintained at high temperatures) and moderate mechanical strength.
