Electromolten

Electro-fused materials are refractory materials produced through an electric fusion process, where raw materials (such as aluminum, zirconium, magnesium, or silica oxides) are melted at high temperatures. Ideal for use in furnace linings, boilers, and other industrial equipment operating at high temperatures. Due to their excellent properties, they are used in various industries such as steel, cement, glass, and petrochemical, where resistance to extreme heat and chemical aggression is essential.

Characteristics

  • High Purity and Density: Impurities are removed during processing, resulting in high-quality materials
  • High Hardness and Wear Resistance: Particularly useful in abrasives and cutting materials
  • Thermal and Chemical Resistance: Withstands extreme temperatures and harsh environments
  • Homogeneous and Compact Structure: Enhances the mechanical properties of the material
  • Customizable Properties: Features such as porosity and chemical composition can be adjusted according to the application

Typical applications

  • Refractory Industry: Production of refractory bricks and blocks for furnaces and boilers
  • Abrasives: Manufacturing of fused aluminum oxide and silicon carbide for cutting and sanding tools
  • Metallurgical Industry: Durable linings for smelting furnaces and crucibles
  • Technical Ceramics: Development of advanced materials for electronic components and thermal insulators
  • Glass and Optics: Production of special materials such as synthetic sapphire for lenses and screens
