Characteristics
The sheets are made of phlogopite mica paper bonded with a resin with high thermal and electrical properties. The material undergoes pressure and heat treatment for curing.
Mica sheets are available in various formats:
- Rigid Sheets:
- Thickness range: 0.10 – 50 mm.
- Standard dimensions: 1200 x 1000 – 2000 x 1000 – 2400 x 1000 mm
- Flexible Sheets:
- Thickness range: 0.10 – 2 mm.
- Standard dimensions: 1200 x 1000 – 2000 x 1000 – 2400 x 1000 mm
Nota: Die-cut parts are supplied according to drawing, as well as other sizes.
Typical applications
Mica is used in applications requiring the insulator to adopt specific shapes while providing high thermal and dielectric properties, as well as flexural strength: hot air fans, circuit breakers, transformers, etc.
Some applications leverage its spring-like action.
